不定冠詞：a(n) 單數名詞之前(無特定)
Tom is an American. 湯姆是美國人
a(n)的用法：
(1) a：子音開頭的單數名詞 an：母音開頭的單數名詞
The boy eats a banana and an orange a day.
這男孩一天吃一根香蕉和一個柳丁
★ 這裡所謂的子音母音是以其音標來決定
(2) 表全體不加冠詞 --- man, woman (人類，男人，女人)
Man is stronger than woman.
男人比女人強壯
定冠詞：the 特定單複數名詞前
Open the door, Tom. 湯姆，打開（這扇）門
the的用法：
(1) 第一次提到的名詞：a(n) 第二次提到的名詞：the
I bought a book yesterday. The book cost me one hundred dollars.
我昨天買了一本書，這本書花了我100元
彼此所知道的名詞：the

(2) 獨一無二的東西或物體：the + N
the world (世界) the sky (天空) the moon (月亮) the earth (地球) the sun (太陽)
★但 nature 不加冠詞
(3) 方向或方位：the + N
the right (右) the left (左) the east (東) the west (西)
(4) 樂器：play the + N
playing the piano (彈鋼琴) play the guitar (彈吉他) play the drume (打鼓) play the violin (拉小提琴)
★樂器表科目時不加 the
She teaches violin at school.
她在學校教小提琴
(5) the + 最高級
the + 序數
the + only, same, very
John is the best student in the class.
